The firm was founded in 1952 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada by George Boake and James C. Crang. Architects Crang and Boake International has been working in the Middle East since 1990. The primary area of our expertise in the Gulf States centers around Institutional, health care and local Governmental related projects. Osmond Remedios has been working with Architects Crang and Boake since 1974, starting in the Toronto Office. Osmond Remedios is the Managing Partner-In-Charge of Architects Crang & Boake Inc.’s Middle East Operations since 1992. He brings to this Region his unique talents, leadership qualities, and in-depth experience related to Control of Design and Contract Documents, Liaison with Clients, Project Management, Construction Management and Contract Administration. His extensive and widely-travelled, forty years of Professional and International experience in East Africa, North Africa, Canada, U.S.A., U. A.E., Oman, Lebanon, and Libya has helped him provide the leadership role in the Corporate Management of Architects Crang & Boake Inc., Middle East Operations.

Zuhair Afif Makarem
Zuhair Makarem brings, to the Organization, twenty nine years of Professional Experience - twenty two years in the United Arab Emirates.This has shaped his professional career, and has given him deep roots and a strong foundation to establish himself, in the Gulf Region and the Middle East. He worked, briefly, for Architects Crang & Boake Inc., Abu Dhabi, from 1991 to 1996, and then rejoined the Firm in 1999, to enhance his illustrious career. Zuhair has a passion for Engineering and Architecture, especially in the fields related to Environment and Technology. In addition, his in-depth knowledge and experience has proved, invaluable, in coordinating large scale, complex Projects in Design, Construction Management and Contracts. This experience, in various facets of Engineering and Management, has enabled him to meet and handle the challenges of Managing the Company Operations, in the U.A.E., since 2009.

Brian Boake graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo with a Professional Degree in Architecture in 1982. He has been President of ACBI since 1999. He has been responsible for hundreds of commercial, institutional and residential projects in the Toronto, Beijing and Abu Dhabi offices. |
